~ VBS St. Croix Missions
Welcome to Metropolitan Baptist Church, we are a ministering multi-cultural community of New Testament believers, functioning under the power of the Holy Spirit, in faithful obedience to the Scriptures, magnifying the Lord through worship, evangelism, discipleship, fellowship and mission.

Our theme this church year is, "Connect with God to Connect with People". To be connected to God, is to be in right relationship with Him. When you remain connected to God, you will become more like Him, loving the things that God loves. God loves people. A Christian who is connected with people, is intentional about forming Christ-centered relationships with all kinds of people. This is our goal, to Connect with God in order to Connect with People.

To Think About:

The church in the book of Acts and the Epistles made prayer an essential part of their ministry. (Acts 1: 14; 2: 42; 6: 4; Romans. 12: 12; Ephesians. 6: 18; Colossians. 4: 2; 1Thessalonians. 5: 17). What is clear from the passages cited is that it was not just the apostles who prayed but the whole church practiced this essential ministry. They did not just set aside one week for prayer. Prayer became vital to them as the air they breathe. They understood that the church can never move forward in any ministry without God’s direction and help. It is He who saves and empowers, sanctifies and matures his saints through His word of truth. If the church of which you are a part of is not being what it ought to be in carrying out effective ministry, it may be that you are missing in uniting with others in united prayer for God to move among us.
